What is your draping policy?
In accordance with the Georgia Massage Therapy Practice Act, proper draping protocols will be enforced to provide safety, comfort, and privacy for both the client and therapist. Clients boundaries regarding privacy, disclosure of personal information, and physical exposure will not be violated. Refusal to respect and agree to these terms will result in the immediate termination of the session with full payment owed regardless of time lost. This point is non-negotiable.
Is gratuity expected?
When exceptional service is provided, our employees very much appreciate but never anticipate gratuity. Our service fees are fully inclusive with no add-on costs for hot towels, KT tape, cupping, essential oils or deep(er) tissue work. We prefer a positive 5-star review on Google and a new client referral over gratuity as these are the best types of feedback we can receive!
What do I wear?
During a massage you will be asked to disrobe to the level of your comfort. Fully disrobing including undergarments during a massage is perfectly acceptable. Muscles in and around the hip and gluteal area often cause dysfunction in the body and require bodywork. Professional draping guidelines will always be practiced, protecting your privacy and comfort.
What is included?
A session consists of massage, time for you to dress and undress and time to communicate with the therapist to make your massage truly customized. This is done to ensure each and every massage session you receive from us exceeds your expectations. If you are late to your session that time will be deducted from your hands on time. If your therapist is running behind that time will be honored during your session or a time credit will be applied to your next session if you cannot extend the length.
Massage – how often?
For those who use massage as preventative care or to manage daily stress, one massage a month is common. Weekly sessions may be desirable if you are receiving massage for injury relief or to relieve chronic pain that is interfering with your daily life. There are many people who incorporate massage therapy at least twice a month for optimal therapeutic relief. Massage is a proactive approach to health and wellness and less expensive than traditional healthcare.
Will the massage hurt?
Massage therapy should always work within the clients comfort level. Some clients enjoy the ‘hurt so good’ feeling while others prefer a gentler touch. Communication is key! Clients and therapists should check in with one another often to gauge depth and pressure making adjustments as necessary. Feedback is important and therapists require it to improve their craft, facilitate the healing process for clients and provide a customized session.
